Dog Lake, Mill Creek Canyon

Hopefully, the gate to upper Millcreek canyon will open by now (it's scheduled to open on July 1st).

I'm taking the dog up to Dog Lake. All well-behaved dogs are welcome. Since this is an odd-numbered day, dogs are allowed off leash once we leave the parking lot.

The lake tends to be clear and cold this time of year so the dogs really love it.

Note that there are two routes to the lake. One is a bit shorter and steeper. Going quickly up the steep one can be under an hour. The other trail can take longer. If anyone joins me, we can discuss which one to take.
